DESIGN TIP OF THE WEEK

INTIMATE SPACE

Over the years so many people have made the mistake of making their bedrooms the prime space for kid’s toys, office work, eating meals and many other unrelated uses that have steered the bedroom away from its sole purpose, an intimate space used for relaxation and sleep. The bedroom should be a retreat from the hectic and noisy world in which we live in.  There are plenty of ways to make your bedroom a space that you can call your own, one that allows you to read, watch TV, meditate and most of all…sleep. When choosing bedroom furniture, do it with care, as they will be with you for many years to come. The bed itself is the most essential piece of furniture in the room and is usually the main focal point.  There are plenty of choices out there, so be creative when picking out the style bed that you want.  Try finding a unique headboard, an antique four-poster bed, or even a really great piece of art work that can be hung on the wall behind the head of your bed frame.  Painting your walls can easily transform your bedroom into the calming oasis you are looking for.  If you ever want to change the design scheme of your space, paint is such a quick and easy fix.  Picking out accessories, such as bedding, throw pillows, lighting, wall hangings and all other bedroom essentials is a really great way to add a bit of personality to the room. Go ahead and turn your bedroom into the stylish and relaxing escape that you have been longing for.
